The 2018 NHL trade deadline is rapidly approaching. On Monday, Feb. 26 the NHL will officially close its doors on trades for the remainder of the 2017-18 season, meaning we have two weeks of potential madness left.
NHL trade deadline day is usually not as crazy as the NBA’s deadline is, as most major hockey trades happen — if at all — in the days leading up to the deadline. The rumors, however, seem to churn out new names every day as we get closer to the Feb. 26 deadline.
As such, we’ve compiled a complete list of trade rumors from Feb. 1 onwards about the biggest names potentially hitting the trade market. We’ve already seen teams like the New York Rangers flat out admit big trades are likely coming as we head into the deadline, but teams like the Buffalo Sabres and Ottawa Senators will also likely be major sellers as their playoff hopes end.
Here are the latest NHL trade rumors:
Jeff Skinner, Max Domi among potential trade targets for the Colorado Avalanche.
The Bruins are reportedly in on Ryan McDonagh, but does it makes sense for both sides?
The Edmonton Oilers are maybe, possibly, thinking of trading Leon Draisaitl.
Will the Tampa Bay Lightning chase defenseman Ryan McDonagh at the NHL trade deadline?
Elliotte Friedman speculated on a potential Andreas Athanasiou trade from the Detroit Red Wings to the Carolina Hurricanes.
Could the Chicago Blackhawks consider trading Brandon Saad this season?
The New York Rangers requested Rick Nash’s no-trade list, putting the veteran winger on the trade block.
The Colorado Avalanche are reportedly looking at Michael Grabner from the New York Rangers.
The Nashville Predators have been “checking out” the Detroit Red Wings for scoring wingers.
