Fantasy Hockey: Scouting The NHL DFS – Tuesday, February 28

We have reached one of the best times for hockey: the trade deadline. This is the time of the year when players pray they get sent to a cup competitor, while others have problems accepting they have been traded. Cup winning teams are built on these deals. The NHL is giving us a huge 12-game slate today to try and navigate. I will help you find some players to anchor your lineup around. Time to stand by the phone and hope Scout does not trade me away.

Mr. Pucks Profound Three

**Remember I will be running the Scout Twitter Account tonight from 6 pm to 7 pm. Hit me up with your questions**

David Pastrnak (Bos) -Wing- ($6800 FD / $6900 DK)

Pastrnak has been a player that can win you a GPP. How pasta plays so goes the Bruins. When he is on, it seems like the Bruins are the best team in the NHL. When he is off, the team suffers. With six goals and seven assists in his last ten, Pastrnak is showing us why he can take over a game. Tonight he gets a Coyotes team that is in full rebuild(again) and will be playing uninspired hockey. Of his 26 goals this year, 14 have come at home with three of them being game winners. Tonight he will add two more goals to his season total and add a power play assist.

Filip Forsberg (Nas) -Wing- ($7600 FD / $6600 DK)

Forsberg is one of my favorite players in Nashville. He has a slick skating and stickhandling style and can snap a puck in the net from any angle. With eight goals and three assists in his last five, Filip is showing why he can control a game. Tonight he gets to face off against a Sabres team that will be lost watching him dance down the ice. I feel he gets two goals and an assist with three shots on goal.

Claude Giroux (Phi) -Center- ($7500 FD / $6100 DK)

It is rare that a Flyers player makes my list, but one can not overlook the pure abilities that Giroux possess. With only 12 goals on the season, Claude will be overlooked in most lineups. He gets Simmonds back on his line, and this will help him play much better. I see a goal and two assists tonight with four shots on goal and also a blocked shot.

Mr. Pucks’ Sleeper play of the night

Jannik Hansen (Van) – Wing – ($3700 FD / $3900)

Who? Yeah, Hansen is a true super sleeper. He is not really known outside of Vancouver, and hardly makes anyone’s dfs team. What I like about Hansen is that he plays alongside Bo Horvat and the pair are a force. I see him scoring a goal tonight and adding an assist as well. He should be well under 2% owned. Don’t overlook the Canucks tonight in your GPP lineups.

Teams To Target

Pittsburgh – This game will be chalk with an over/under of 6. Crosby line will be the line to attack. I also like Kessel to score. Live Cole and Schultz tonight.

Montreal – Top two lines. Emelin and Weber on defense

Nashville – I will be targeting Forsberg’s line this evening, with a bit of exposure to 3rd line in my gpp. Josi and Ellis on defense.

Philadelphia Flyers – The pairing of Giroux-Simmonds will be great in cash lineups, toss in Scheen for a gpp stack. Ghost has picked it up on defense, and a flier on Gudas might work as well.

Boston Bruins – Love the Pastrnak-Krejci-Cehlarik stack tonight. Also the top line as well. Carlo is a great play on defense

Also Consider – Van 2, Det 1, Was 1, NYR 1, Wpg 1 an 2

**As always check before puck drop to see starting goalies, as things change**

I will list a few goalies that I like tonight, and if you want to play them in cash, gpp, or both.

Murray – Cash/GPP
Price – Cash/GPP
Rask – Cash/GPP
Mason – GPP
Bishop – GPP
Miller – GPP
