The Czech professional ice hockey right winger currently playing for the New Jersey Devils – Jaromir Jagr said Tuesday he has a deal in place to return for the 2014-15 season with Devils, according to Zdenek Janda of iSport.cz and Roman Jedlicka of TV NOVA Sport in the Czech Republic, where Jagr is training for the upcoming IIHF World Championship.
Jaromir led the Devils in scoring in his first season with the side with 67 points (24 goals). He is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
Jagr turned (42-year-old) on Feb. 15, but still had his best statistics – since returning from a 3-season stint in the Kontinental Hockey League. He eclipsed 700 career goals and finished the season tied with Steve Yzerman for 6th on the National Hockey League all-time scoring list with 1,755 points.
