Detroit Red Wings vs. Vancouver Canucks Game Preview

Detroit Red Wings and Vancouver Canucks will battle on Wednesday night 30th October, schedule to kick off at 10:30pm ET and it will be big fight between both the rivals.

Both the teams are meeting for the first time of two games in between the former Western Conference foes. Detroit Red Wings holds 3-0-2 in their past five games against Vancouver Canucks. Both the teams have played their recent game on 20th April, 2013, where Vancouver Canucks won the encounter clash with a 2-1 in a shootout. Detroit and Vancouver are facing in inter conference rival for the first time since 1980-81.

Vancouver Canucks has defeated Washington Capitals with a 3-2 to clinch the fourth consecutive victory on Monday night on 28th October. Roberto Luongo has made 17 saves for the Canucks and returned home after finishing the road trip with a 5-1-1 record.

Detroit forward Johan Franzen is going to miss the game, while center Darren Helm has been suffering from torn disc in his lower back and placed him on injured reserve along with defenseman Jonathan Ericsson. Canucks forward David Booth has sustained lower body and likely to miss 1 to 2 weeks. Forwards Dale Weise, Jannik Hansen and Jordan Schroeder are also placed on injury reserve.
