The Winnipeg Jets Signed Brenden Kichton on Entry Level Contract

The defenseman Brenden Kichton, the Winnipeg Jets agreed to the terms and signed on a three-year entry level contract. This deal lets Kichton to earn US$1.86 million.

The Winnipeg Jets picked Kichton in 7th round (190 overall) in 2013 NHL Draft. Being a defenseman in Spokane Chiefs, he recorded 85 (22g-62a) points in 75 games in the last season and named as Western Hockey League’s defenseman of the year.

In his 333 games career, he recorded 67 goals and 201 assists with 143 penalty minutes. He appeared in 42 Playoff games and recorded 19 points by posting three goals and 16 assists.

Kichton was originally picked by NY Islanders in fifth round (127th overall) in 2011 NHL Draft. Due to disagreement on the contract, he entered the 2013 NHL Draft.
