The Calgary Flames Sign Josh Jooris to an Entry-Level Contract

Calgary Flames have signed Josh Jooris on Tuesday on a two-year, two-way entry-level contract. This deal allows Jooris to earn – In NHL Level – $832,500 or In AHL Level – $70,000.

Also, he will get $92,500 as a signing bonus each year for an average annual value of $925,000.

Jay Feaster, Flames GM said “Josh is a right shot center with size and skill”.

Flames are impressed with Jooris aggressive play and Up-tempo style during the development camp. Flames staff liked him and decided to sign him.

“During our recent development camp he played an aggressive, up-tempo style and displayed good grit and a high compete level. Our staff felt strongly that we should attempt to get him signed, and we are pleased to welcome him to the organization”

“He will play for us in Penticton and then will be given an opportunity to compete for a spot at main camp.” Jay added

Jooris spent his last three seasons with Union College of the Eastern College Athletic Conference – By recording 28 points with 12 goals 16 assists he ranked at third in the club.

Prior to NCCA career, Jooris was the OJHL scoring champion with 116 points in 50 games during the 2009-10 campaign for the Burlington Cougars.
